Snerting Ranch is idyllically and sunnily situated, 3 km southwest of Kjerknesvågen, Inderøy. We are an approved Inn på Tunet (Green Care) farm, and since 2008 we have hosted youths here on a 24-hour basis from Friday to Sunday two weekends a month. In addition, there is a full holiday week in both July and August. We are a member of Inn på Tunet Trøndelag.
We have both girls and boys here aged 6 to 18. We provide stable and secure surroundings while also finding time for plenty of fun activities, both on the farm and in the local area. The children are divided into group 1: the youngest, and group 2: the oldest. This ensures good social interaction with peers, both boys and girls, in both groups.
We care for the animals every day, and in addition, the children are welcome to spend as much time with the different animals as they like. We are constantly engaged in various activities, both at the ranch and in many other places. Sports, swimming, play, getting out into nature, various chores on the ranch, and, not least, the "Snerting Games" every summer. There are plenty of opportunities for a sense of achievement, both practically and socially.
Among the adults who help run the visiting farm, many of us have completed professional development in developmental psychology, counseling pedagogy, animal-assisted activities, and more.
